Ist Class Down

This is Tanner 1st Puppy class He got to play with about 20 other puppies big and small and had a great time. He did well with his 'sits ' etc. and we have lots to practice for next week. He had to answer to his name and come when called. He was quite distracted but did well considering.

TANNER GOES TO SCHOOL

Tanner starts his ''Carolark" puppy classes tomorrow. I hope it all goes well and that all our training will not go out the window when he is with all the other dogs. We'll see. We have been working hard with him. He is doing well. Still not 100% on the house training but it's coming along.

Getting bigger !

This first picture was taken in Mid-July. You can see how much he has grown. Now on August 19th he is hanging out in the gazebo after a visit to Grandma's. He had a nice bath this morning and a LONG walk tonight. He met up with his friend Daisy, one of his doggy friends, where we had a cup of tea with her owners. He is getting so much bigger. Where will he end up I wonder.

Sunday Afternoon Drive

This was Sunday afternoon on the way to visit Grandma and the other folks at the 'home. ' Tanner likes the car but we think maybe he needs a pair of "Doggles" to save his eyes if he is to stick his head out the window while traveling at high speed. We'll see!

Last night Tanner got into a Brillo pad. Shredded it up. Not sure how much he ate but her didn't seem too well. I think he is alright this morning. Bet he won't do that again. Silly dog. Silly me for leaving the door to the garbage open.

Fun on the lawn

This is Tanner on August 5th just playing, and barking, on our back lawn. He loves to play and make himself heard at times. Mostly he just hangs out quietly though.

Tanner had an adventurous visit to our friend's farm on Sunday. He ran loose and played with our friend's golden retriever. That was all great until he decided to run into the pasture with the huge horse named Tom. He barked and played while we frantically called his name and shook his container of treats. He would come, but not close enough to grab. Eventually we did get him, and thanks to our friend Chris, holding his horse's halter, and Tom's patience, all ended well. I was very shaken and hope to never experience anything like that again.

Tanner is so cute until OH OH!! We are still working on the potty training. He'll get it. He is now starting to sit and come and we only started training for this yesterday!! Smart puppy.

Tanner now 3 months old

Tanner was born on the 3rd of May, so he is now 3 months old. We are starting his training. He is learning to 'sit' today. Doing pretty well. We use lots of tidbits as treats. We are also starting 'lie down'' and 'come' as well. He starts puppy school in a couple of weeks.I would like to have a little head start.
